HealthTrackRx said March 24 that the new Georgia lab will offer a comprehensive menu of next-day infectious disease testing using polymerase chain reaction technology.
“We’re giving providers the ability to take a patient swab today, and get actionable results by morning,” Martin Price, executive chair and CEO of HealthTrackRx, said. “With the traditional reference laboratory model, providers are accustomed to results measured in days or weeks. Everyone experienced it with COVID-19 — speed matters.”
HealthTrackRx said it chose Marietta, an Atlanta suburb, because of the Southeast’s growing population. The company said it plans to expand to more markets throughout the nation.
