Miami-based Baptist Health, Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare and Louisville-based UofL Health are partnering with Indiana University Southeast in New Albany to build a laboratory science degree and workforce development program.
In fall 2025, IU Southeast will offer a Bachelor of Science in medical laboratory sciences, according to a Jan. 22 IU news release. The systems will provide faculty and operational support, supply lab equipment, remodel campus lab spaces and offer hands-on clinical experience through internships.
Previously, the program was offered through a consortium with Bellarmine University in Louisville, but now faculty members and equipment for the program will be transferred and fully hosted at IU.
