The new center, which will be located at UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center, aims to consolidate the organization’s digital information it is gathering through various programs and pilots.

Professionals within the center will also be able to assess which algorithms, programs and pilots should be rolled out and which can wait.

Christopher Longhurst, MD, chief medical officer and chief digital officer of UC San Diego Health, said it will take the organization several years to get the new center up and running.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
