Parkview Health, Neurobell to explore efficacy of AI-based EEG equipment

Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health has partnered with neonatal medical technology company Neurobell to study the effectiveness of portable artificial intelligence-based  electroencephalography equipment in detecting seizures in newborns.

Neurobell is working on creating a pocket-sized EEG monitor that automates neonatal seizure alerts at the bedside so NICU staff can gain immediate insights without delays.

The study will be completed at Parkview Women and Children’s Hospital in Fort Wayne.
