Nebraska hospital set to break ground on $21M new facility

Sidney (Neb.) Regional Medical Center is set to break ground on a new $21 million long-term care facility May 18, the North Platte Post reported May 9.

The new facility is set to be completed in the fall of 2024. The project is financed through loans from local lenders and loans from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

"The new Long Term Care facility is designed with a greater user-friendly layout and supports our mission to provide our residents with the very best care possible," Judy Frerichs, vice president of extended care services for SRMC and administrator for SRMC Long Term Care, told the Post. "We will continue to have 65 beds, a memory care unit as well as a direct-connecting walkway to the hospital that enhances the health and wellness efforts for our residents."
