Medtronic joins in $25M funding round for home monitoring company

Medical device giant Medtronic joined in a $25 million financing round for Fire1, a remote monitoring company focusing on heart failure.

Fire1 will use the financing to expand the development of its remote monitoring tools. Andera Partners and Novo Holdings led the financing round, according to a March 15 Fire1 news release.

The company is based out of Dublin, Ireland.
