Healthcare innovation venture fund Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health is opening a new location in the San Francisco area.
The outpost will focus on investing and evaluating early-stage health-tech companies. The new location will be led by Kunal Varshneya, MD, according to the Oct. 3 Wavemaker news release.
The new location comes as Wavemaker recently closed on its $64 million Fund II.
"The Bay Area has long been a central hub pioneering healthcare solutions, and we see a tremendous opportunity to support these entrepreneurs at the seed stage as we broaden our reach within the region," Wavemaker founder John Nackel said in the release.
