Google is in talks to invest $200 million into artificial intelligence startup Cohere, the Wall Street Journal reported Oct. 21.
Cohere creates language processing software used to build AI applications, such as chatbots. The investment comes after Cohere agreed to a multi-year partnership with Google in November 2021.
Through the partnership, Google supplies the cloud computing power for Cohere to train its AI models.
The investment talks also follow a report that Microsoft is looking to complete a second investment into AI company OpenAI.
