Duke Health, Microsoft to create AI innovation lab

Durham, N.C.-based Duke Health entered into a five-year partnership with Microsoft to create the Duke Health AI Innovation Lab and Center of Excellence.

Under the partnership, Microsoft will provide Duke with cloud training and will help the health system construct a secure cloud environment, according to an Aug. 1 news release from Duke Health.

Duke Health will also use Microsoft Azure’s cloud and work with the tech giant to create generative AI and AI-based tools for healthcare.
