In a report released March 20, WalletHub determined the most and least innovative states. The site compared the 50 states and Washington D.C., across two dimensions: human capital and innovation environment. These dimensions were evaluated using 25 metrics, including share of STEM professionals, share of technology companies and invention patents per capita. Read more about the methodology here.
