“Road to 10” was created with the help of physicians and is meant to aid small medical practices in jumpstarting their conversion to ICD-10, according to a news release. The tool breaks the transition process down into steps including planning the journey, training staff, updating processes, engaging partners and testing.
Furthermore, “Road to 10” offers resources including common ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes, clinical documentation primers and clinical scenarios for various specialties such as orthopedics, cardiology and pediatrics.
The new tool is one of many ICD-10 resources offered on CMS’ website.
