The deal covers 3,000 nurses represented by the Registered Nurses Professional Association. They work at St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy, Calif., DePaul Health Clinic in Morgan Hill, Calif., and O’Connor Hospital and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, Calif.
Under the four-year agreement, nurses will receive annual wage increases of 3 percent over the life of the contract, in addition to across-the-board “realignment” increases the first two years of the contract, according to the Times.
The new contract also reportedly establishes minimum staffing levels.
Santa Clara County had been negotiating with the union since summer.
