Putnam Hospital Center nurses vote to unionize

Nurses at Carmel, N.Y.-based Putnam Hospital Center voted to join the New York State Nurses Association, according to a lohud.com report.

A total of 266 nurses voted in the election, the report states.

The union represents about 40,000 nurses across New York State. Putnam is part of LaGrangeville, N.Y.-based Health Quest.
