McLaren Lapeer Region nurses to picket over staffing

Unionized nurses at McLaren Lapeer (Mich.) Region, a 222-bed acute care hospital, plan to picket May 17 over staffing, according to an NBC25 report.

The nurses say there are not enough of them at the hospital for proper patient care, the report states.

The picket is scheduled for 4:30 to 6 p.m. in Lapeer.

McLaren Lapeer Region did not immediately respond to NBC25‘s request for a comment.
