Essentia said Aug. 21 in a bargaining update that the three-year deal covers nurses at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, St. Mary’s Hospital-Superior (Wis.) and Essentia Health-Duluth (Miller-Dwan Building) facilities.
The health system did not disclose details of the agreement but praised it as “a mutually beneficial” and supportive of Essentia’s mission and patient care excellence.
The union also praised the agreement in a news release, saying it “helps nurses provide the care all our patients need.”
Union leaders expect the nurses to vote on ratifying the deal in the next few weeks.
