Arkansas Children’s website states the new hospital has nonclinical and clinical openings, such as interpreter services, administrative positions, IT and materials management, lab, diagnostic imaging, nursing and surgical services.

Overall, Arkansas Children’s plans to invest $16.4 million in staffing the new Northwest campus in the first half year of operation, Trisha Montague, senior vice president and chief of regional services for the new facility, told Talk Business & Politics.

“Arkansas Children’s has a reputation that goes well beyond the state’s borders. And this is a very exciting opportunity to serve Northwest Arkansas. We’re hoping to augment the outstanding pediatric care that is already in that region,” Robert Williams, MD, who was named CMO of Arkansas Children’s Northwest in June, told the publication.

In addition to opening the new hospital, Arkansas Children’s is also relocating the outpatient clinic in Lowell, Ark., to the Springdale campus. The total cost of the Northwest campus project is estimated at $70 million, according to Talk Business & Politics.
