Dignity Health agreed to sell its clinical outreach labs to Quest Diagnostics in April, and the deal is set to finalize in June. The hospital-based labs were not part of the deal.

It is possible that the affected employees could start to work for Quest Diagnostics or find work elsewhere in the Dignity Health system, according to the report. The 148 employees are from 18 lab sites.
