The grievance, filed this week against the Department of Veterans Affairs hospital, suggests that Haley needs to hire at least 100 RNs, as well as a number of support staff, to meet the agency’s minimum staffing requirements, according to the report.
A Haley spokeswoman declined to comment to the Tampa Bay Times. However, she did tell the publication the hospital continually looks at staffing levels “to ensure the safety and comfort of our patients.”
Per the union contract, Haley officials have two weeks to respond to the grievance.
