SEIU District 1199 represents about 800 employees at the hospital, including licensed practical nurses and maintenance workers. The union had turned down the hospital’s initial contract offer over insufficient wage increases, higher deductibles and co-pays and health insurance for retirees.

There was no word on what was included in the approved contract, according to the report.
