About 30 members of the Shore Nurses Union, the collective bargaining unit that represents nurses at Shore Medical Center, participated in the rally.
The rally comes as the union is considering a strike.
The 340 nurses at the hospital have worked without a contract since September of last year, union officials said, according to the report. Shore Medical Center and the union have been in conflict over the last year on various issues, including salary, benefits, pension, privatization of some services and time off, the report notes. The two sides returned to the bargaining table Aug. 25.
