Management, administrative and clinical positions were all affected by the cuts, according to the report. CMC offered affected employees a severance package and is working with them to apply for other open positions at the facility and its parent system, West Orange, N.J.-based Barnabas Health.
The hospital’s president and CEO, Stephanie Bloom, attributed the layoffs to reduced Medicare reimbursement and the sequester, according to the report.
