Twenty-nine of the affected employees were in administrative positions, while the remaining five were nurses and caregivers, according to the report.
Last year, Lowell General took ownership of Saints Medical Center in Lowell. That acquisition made some positions redundant, which led to the layoffs, the Lowell Sun reported.
