The National Labor Relations Board ordered that nearly 100 votes from a 2016 election be opened and counted. Final election results showed 545 votes against joining Service Employees International Union, and 536 in favor of unionization, according to the report.
The results come nearly three years after 531 workers voted for unionization, 458 voted against it and more than 200 ballots were challenged by hospital management.
