The 11-person police department was officially implemented Jan. 1, according to the report.
According Karrie Davison, Holzer Health System’s communications coordinator, the newly created police force is taking proactive steps to increase safety for all of the hospital’s visitors and employees.
The police officers are employees of the Holzer Police Department and commissioned through the state of Ohio.
