The report showed that in the healthcare and social assistance sector, the rate of incidents due to violence and other injuries by persons or animals went from 15.1 cases per 10,000 full-time workers in 2012 to 16.2 cases in 2013.
The report also shows nursing assistants and laborers and freight, stock, and material movers saw the highest number of musculoskeletal disorder cases in 2013, with musculoskeletal disorder cases accounting for more than 50 percent of the total cases for nursing assistants that year.
