The system had originally announced the freeze, which affected every one of Erlanger’s roughly 4,000 employees, would last through July. It froze PTO accrual because it was facing a $3.8 million loss.
But, this month, the system learned it received approval to access the Public Hospital Supplemental Payment Pool, giving it $30 million through intergovernmental transfers, according to the report.
