The center opened July 1 and the first patients were admitted July 8.
The partnership is not a merger or an acquisition, but rather a joint effort to enhance access to care, while allowing Milford Hospital to remain an independent institution, hospital officials said.
“Our combined talent and joint mission will surely lead to the success of this unique collaboration,” said Joseph Pelaccia, Milford Hospital president and CEO. “I have no doubt that together we will help the patients convalescing in this facility.”
