Healthcare Management Partners and Memphis-based Dobbs Equity Partners have signed a letter of intent to construct a new facility that will merge three existing South Carolina hospitals into one integrated healthcare system, according to an HMP news release.
The new system will be called Tri-County Regional Health System. It will be comprised of Bamberg (S.C.) County Hospital, Barnwell (S.C.) County Hospital and Allendale County Hospital in Fairfax, S.C. Once due diligence has been completed and a definitive agreement is signed, construction on the new hospital facility for the system will begin in fall 2011.
