West Virginia Hospital to be Sold to Community Health Systems

The board of directors of Bluefield Regional Medical Center has agreed to sell the hospital to a subsidiary of Tennessee-based Community Health Systems, according to WHNT News.

Selling the 265-bed hospital still requires a certificate of need from the state.

For-profit Community Health Systems in Franklin, Tenn. owns, operates or leases 122 hospitals in 29 states.
