Under the partnership, wholly owned Humana subsidiary Partners in Primary Care plans to open and begin operating the 2,500-square-foot clinics this fall. The clinics, which will provide primary care and pharmacy services, are in addition to four clinics Partners in Primary Care opened in Kansas City in 2017.
Humana representatives will also be present in select stores in the Kansas City metro area to provide zero-cost health service assistance to Medicare beneficiaries, such as providing diabetes education to seniors and helping them find a new fitness class.
The companies may expand their partnership into other markets in the future.
