Under the partnership agreement, Omnicell will assist Wake Forest by providing pharmacy, nursing and data analytics solutions to optimize workflow, improve efficiency, increase patient safety and interface with the hospital’s existing EHR system.
Director of Pharmacy at Wake Forest Adam Orsborn, PharmD, expressed excitement about the partnership and about receiving solutions from Omnicell’s pharmacy department to improve the health system’s process quality.
Omnicell will also support the academic medical center with automated medication management solutions driven by pharmacists and used by nurses and other clinicians caring for patients across the health system’s three hospitals. Installation of the system is slated for 2015.
