Villa Loretto, Villa Rosa to join Agnesian HealthCare: 3 things to know

Font du Lac, Wis.-based Agnesian HealthCare has signed a letter of intent for Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary, Wis., and Villa Rosa, the assisted living apartment complex near Villa Loretto, to become part of Agnesian.

Here are three things to know about the agreement.

1. The Congregation of Sister Servants of Christ the King, which opened Villa Loretto in 1965, feels strongly that Agnesian is "the best fit for our residents, staff and community," Sister Stephen Bloesl, general superior, Congregation of Sister Servants of Christ the King, said in a statement.

2. As part of the transition to Agnesian, the congregation will continue to operate their farm as long as possible.

3. In a statement, Agnesian HealthCare president and CEO Steve Little said Villa Loretto, which offers assisted living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, "shares our common goal of bringing quality and efficient care to area residents and carrying forward the legacy of Catholic healthcare."
