Under the expanded agreement, the organizations will collaborate to provide radiation oncology services to residents in the area. In addition, physicians with faculty appointments at the University of Rochester’s radiation oncology department at the Wilmot Cancer Institute will begin offering services and consultations at the Falck Cancer Center in May, according to the report.

The two organizations initially joined forces last fall to offer medical oncology and infusion services at the Wilmot Cancer Center.

“About half of all cancer patients receive radiation therapy over the course of their treatment and this new technology will have a significant impact for many people,” said Arnot Health President and CEO Robert Lambert, MD. “Looking forward, we are excited to announce this new level in the advancement of cancer care at Arnot Health through our collaboration with UR Medicine’s Wilmot Cancer Institute.”
