UnitedHealthcare, Tenet sign in-network access contract

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare and UnitedHealthcare have signed a three-year contract that provides UnitedHealthcare members with in-network access to Tenet’s facilities throughout the country.

Under the agreement, UnitedHealthcare’s commercial and Medicare Advantage members will get in-network access to Tenet’s 79 hospitals, 193 outpatient centers and more than 1,800 physicians. The new agreement is effective Aug. 1.

“UnitedHealthcare is one of our largest customers and we are pleased its members will have continued access to our high-quality, high-value services,” said Clint Hailey, chief managed care officer at Tenet, in a news release.
