U of Mississippi Medical Center, Memorial Hospital to collaborate

Memorial Hospital at Gulfport (Miss.) and Jackson-based Children’s of Mississippi, part of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, also in Jackson, formed a pediatric collaboration to enhance care services for area residents.

Under the collaboration, UMMC will acquire four of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport’s six pediatric clinics.

All pediatric clinics will maintain their staff. However, the four clinics will be rebranded to incorporate the Children’s of Mississippi brand and incorporate the care and expertise provided by UMMC physicians.

UMMC will also take over staffing of Memorial’s pediatric hospitalist service.
