Plans call for the construction of a health and recreation center on Xavier’s campus, which will house the university’s academic, recreational and clinical health and wellness programs. While officials have not yet determined the cost and size of the project, the facility is slated for completion in fall 2019.
TriHealth will also help expand Xavier’s sports medicine team, develop a new clinical care model for student athletes and lead health and wellness education programs at the new facility.
Through the partnership, medical students will also gain additional educational opportunities both in the classroom and at TriHealth’s clinical settings.
