Tri Valley Health to affiliate with Avera Health

Cambridge, Neb.-based Tri Valley Health System’s board of directors approved a management affiliation agreement with Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Health Oct. 18, according to the McCook Gazette.

Under the agreement, Tri Valley Health’s current board of directors will continue to operate the facility, and the hospital will remain under local ownership.

The agreement, which is effective Dec. 1, was the result of slightly more than three years of discussions between the two organizations. Tri Valley Health and Avera Health initially formed a strategic partnership in 2016, according to the report.
