The groups are currently seeking approval for the merger from the state Attorney General and Department of Health and the Federal Trade Commission.
Northeast Health’s Samaritan Hospital and St. Mary’s, which is operated by Seton Health, have already partnered to open a standalone maternity and reproductive center, which is expected to open by the end of the year, according to the report.
