WestChinaHospital, one of the world’s largest single-site hospitals, entered into partnership with Thermo Fisher to expand its global molecular diagnosis platform. The partnership includes constructing training bases for standardized pathology quality-control, as well as standardized pathologic diagnosticians. Advanced laboratories will also be developed.
“With our partners at Thermo Fisher, we are working to enhance the quality of pathological research and clinical diagnosis,” President of West China Hospital Li Weimin said.
The U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Richard Stengel remarked the partnership is a “perfect” example of America strengthening is scientific, technological and healthcare ties with China.
