Included in the deal are 26 physician clinics as well as the five hospitals: Atlanta Medical Center; East Point, Ga.-based Atlanta Medical Center-South Campus; Roswell, Ga.-based North Fulton Hospital; Griffin, Ga.-based Spalding Regional Hospital; and Jackson, Ga.-based Sylvan Grove Hospital.
WellStar began pursuing the deal in July.
The agreement is expected to be completed as early as the first quarter of 2016.
