St. Joseph Regional Medical Center partners with RCCH HealthCare Partners

Lewiston, Idaho-based St. Joseph Regional Medical Center formed a partnership with Brentwood, Tenn.-based RCCH HealthCare Partners, which took effect May 1.

The Idaho Attorney General approved the transaction in March. The state's attorney general's office will oversee the creation of a $25 million foundation dedicated to sponsoring community wellness projects in Lewiston. St. Louis-based Ascension, which previously owned SJRMC, donated $23 million to the foundation, while RCCH Healthcare Partners donated $2 million.

"We are honored to be partnering with St. Joseph Regional Medical Center to help ensure the continued high quality of care they've provided for this community," said Martin Rash, chairman and CEO of RCCH HealthCare Partners. "With more than 100 years of service to the people of the region and a well-earned reputation for high quality, compassionate care, we look forward to working with and learning from St. Joe's associates as well as sharing with them and investing in resources for growth."
