The Valerie Fund founders Sue and Ed Goldstein unveiled new signage and a bronze plaque declaring St. Joseph an official partner. The signage will be placed at the entrances of each of the seven centers in the network.
The Valerie Fund integrates medical care with a range of customized therapeutic services to address the quality of life issues that may arise during treatment.
“We are extremely happy to have St. Joseph’s Children’s Medical Center join our family of six Valerie Fund Children Centers for Cancer and Blood Disorders throughout New Jersey and New York City. St. Joseph’s is an excellent hospital and will now connect patients and their families in the northern part of New Jersey with a ValerieFundCenter close to their home. With the additional resources that the Valerie Fund will supply, St Joseph’s will be able to add additional psychosocial staff to complement their fine medical staff,” said Mr. Goldstein.
