Texas’ Johns Community Hospital to Merge with Scott & White

Johns Community Hospital in Taylor, Texas, will merge with Temple, Texas-based Scott & White Healthcare, according to a report by the American-Statesman.

The 25-bed rural hospital has faced declining volumes in recent years. No financial agreement regarding the merger was disclosed.

The merger is expected to be complete by Sept. 1, and at that time, the hospital will be renamed Scott & White Hospital – Taylor, according to the report.
