Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health continues to expand its footprint in western South Dakota, with Black Hills Plastic Surgery anticipated to join its network by the end of the year.
The Rapid City, S.D.-based practice offers cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, along with nonsurgical cosmetic treatments. Its team includes two board-certified physicians, one advanced practice provider and six additional staff members — all of whom are expected to transition to Sanford.
“We are excited to welcome the talented team at Black Hills Plastic Surgery to the Sanford Health family,” Kyle Wiese, president and CEO of Sanford Black Hills, said in an Oct. 16 news release. “This partnership reinforces Sanford Health’s ongoing commitment to expanding comprehensive, world-class healthcare services tailored to meet the needs of patients across the Black Hills region.”
The deal continues Sanford’s recent string of acquisitions in the region.
In August, the system completed its combination with Creekside Medical Clinic in Rapid City. It also brought several Black Hills, S.D.-based organizations under its umbrella in November — including Black Hills Orthopedic and Spine Center, Black Hills Surgical Hospital, Black Hills Urgent Care and Black Hills Surgery Center of Wyoming.
