In addition to providing acute care services, Saint Joseph Health System will offer community wellness, physical rehabilitation, physician clinics, home care, nursing care, outpatient services, independent and assisted senior living, memory care and senior apartments, according to the report. The new health system expects to serve more than 200,000 people per year.
The decision to create new clinical models through the merger is part of Trinity Health CEO’s Richard J. Gilfillan’s vision to “focus on the triple aim of better health, better care and lower costs by 2020,” according to the report.
