Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark., is planning to offer a proposal to Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark., within the next couple of months, according to a Baxter Bulletin report.
BRMC Vice President of Business Development Barney Larry said the hospitals are going through due diligence and anticipate “some type of potential proposal” in the next 60 days, according to the report.
Fulton County Hospital has been experiencing financial instability, as it reportedly lost $1.3 million for the fiscal year ending June 30, according to the report. Earlier this month, it was unable to make payroll until it received a sales tax advance from the county.
