The affiliation will serve to strengthen both organizations and improve quality of care, according to a news release. PCH and CAMC will initially form clinical affiliation teams for cardiac care, oncology and quality. The teams will identify opportunities for improvement and collaboration in these areas. The development of rural residency teams at PCH is also a future goal.

“This is a wonderful opportunity that will provide additional resources to our medical staff and

employees as we navigate through the new healthcare changes,” said Fred St. John, president of the PCH board of directors, in the release.

CAMC is a nonprofit, 836-bed regional referral center. PCH is a 267-bed acute-care, multispecialty medical and surgical facility.
