Tulare Regional’s board will move forward with selecting the right partner after the hospital’s value is determined, according to the report. Last month, the board approved a $37,000 contract to Torrance, Calif.-based consulting firm Medical Development Specialists, which is determining the hospital’s fair market value. The value determination should be complete by the end of November, according to the report.
The hospital began its search for a lease or affiliation partner in September. Officials said Tulare Regional is suffering from patient leakage to Kaweah Delta Health Care District, a 581-bed public hospital system in Visalia, Calif.
