Moses Taylor Hospital in Pennsylvania Announces Lay-Offs

Citing higher volume and lower revenues, Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, Pa., is laying off 61 full-time employees and putting per-diem employees on notice, according to a report by the Scranton Edition.

The layoffs are the 173-bed hospital’s first in 17 years and will affect almost every department, including administrative staff.

In addition to layoffs, Moses Taylor is looking to increase efficiency and reduce operating expenses.
