West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health and Drexel University completed the $50 million acquisition of St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia on Dec. 15.

Tenet Healthcare, a 65-hospital chain based in Dallas, entered into a definitive agreement Dec. 12 to sell its hospitals and other facilities in the Memphis, Tenn., area to Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare.

At least four hospitals based in Chicago are in talks to merge into one organization, according to Crain's Chicago Business. 

Corona Calif.-based KPC Group missed the court-appointed deadline to purchase four hospitals from El Segundo, Calif.-based Verity Health, which entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August 2018.

Here are seven transactions involving hospitals and health systems that were announced, finalized or moved forward in the last three weeks:

Wellington (Fla.) Regional Medical Center, owned by for-profit hospital operator Universal Health Services, has acquired 35 acres of land in Florida for $12.3 million, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
